The RESPA CF / CFX is the latest generation of RESPA Technologies which are provided with two Filter Element / Media Technologies.

For this Technology you must en sure that the correct Filter Element is used for the right RESPA (see images on the RHS)

  • RESPA CF (External Air) uses a Ported Ejection Filter Element.
  • RESPA CFX (Recirculation Air) Unit uses a Non-Ported / Closed Filter Element.

HEPA> H13 (EN1822) Grade.

  • RESPA CF Ported: Part# (LSM-PFP-FEFF018-SYK).
  • RESPA CFX Non- Ported: Part# (LSM-PFP-FEFF010-SYK).  
  • Media: conforms to arrestance of >0.3 micron Particulate / Fibre @ >99.97 % Efficiency (DOP Certified).
  • Effective against: This Filter media has the highest protection factor and should be utilised were exposure is to know carcinogenic airborne fibre and particulate- eg high levels of diesel particulate matter (DPM); radon progeny; carbon dust; and other inhalable / respirable particulate within the size range.
  • Applications: Nuclear Clean-up, Asbestos, other Carcinogenic Materials

MERV16+ ASHRAE 52.2: EN779:2012 F9.

  • RESPA CF Ported: Part# (LSM-PFP-FEFF008-SYK).
  • RESPA CFX Non- Ported: Part# (LSM-PFP-FEFF011-SYK).  
  • Media: conforms to arrestance of >0.3- 1.0 micron Particulate / Fibre @ 98.0 % Efficiency.
  • Effective Against: This Filter media has the highest protection factor and should be utilised to remove Particulate, such as: all bacteria; tobacco smoke; proplet nucleli (sneeze); respirable crystalline silica (RCS); (low level) diesel particulate matter (DPM); and other inhalable / respirable particulate within the size range.
  • Applications: Mining, Agriculture, Demolition, Construction, Waste, Indoor Recycling, all applications where respirable dust is present

3. Which Media to Use?

Our specialised MERV16+ has proven to provide near HEPA grade filtration- as well as long service life for most Particulates.

However, where true HEPA is specified in special applications such as Asbestos environments, then use our >H13 HEPA Filter Elements.

It is suggested the following be implemented to determine the correct Filter Element / Media:

  • Start with the Sy- klone Merv 16+ Filter Element in the RESPA Units and collect / determine OEL / PEL exposure according to AS 2985 – 2004 Workplace Atmospheres – Method for sampling and gravimetric determination of Respirable dust.
  • Should sampling exceed the respective OEL / PEL limits then use our H13 HEPA Filter Elements.
