LSM Technologies invited to QLD 5th Quarrying Safety Conference

LSM Technologies is privileged to be invited to display its Orlaco Camera Solutions at the 5th Annual Quarrying Safety and Health Seminar  to be held on 6 June 2007 in Brisbane, at the Bardon Conference Centre, 390 Simpsons Road, Bardon.

LSM Technologies is privileged to be invited to display its Orlaco Camera Solutions at the 5th Annual Quarrying Safety and Health Seminar  to be held on 6 June 2007 in Brisbane, at the Bardon Conference Centre, 390 Simpsons Road, Bardon.

This year the Seminar will be officially opened by the Minister for Mines and Energy Geoff Wilson.

As in previous years the program has been designed to address important current safety and health issues, relevant not only to the quarrying industry but also to the mining industry in general. These include:

  • Fatigue Management
  • Machinery Guarding
  • Training Assistance
  • Traffic Management Computer Simulation
  • Energy Isolation

Professor Drew Dawson of the University of South Australia will deliver the Keynote Address. He is nationally and internationally recognised for his contributions to the scientific community and to industry in the areas of sleep research, organisational psychology and human factors, industrial relations negotiations, and the human implications of hours of work.

The Mines Inspectorate will also discuss recent accidents and incidents and the lessons learnt from these. The special guest speaker this year will be Andrew May who is the former physical Performance Manager of the Australian Cricket Team and co-founder of Good Health Solutions. He is an expert on performance, in terms of getting the best out of people, and specialises in the delivery of best practice shift work and fatigue management programs.
